چکیده

Despite the increasing use of neighbourhood sustainability assessment tools (NSAT), their linear approach may be insufficient to tackle global and local social ecological challenges. The circular economy (CE) has recently emerged as a new pathway, adopted by corporations public organisations. Understanding how apply CE existing communities, while addressing some its shortcomings, particularly strong focus on resource management, is main goal this paper. Building upon Regenerative Circularity for Built Environment (RC4BE) conceptual model that merges regenerative design concepts, framework with criteria implementation in transition urban areas proposed. A preliminary structure mapped from literature proposed validated through 2-round Delphi consultation 31 international experts. final framework, 136 criteria, addresses identified gaps different cycles related physical resources, ecosystems, liveability, infrastructure, governance, participation, economy, other socioeconomic aspects communities. This expanded take should useful built environment professionals stakeholders interested regenerating communities precincts going beyond current green approaches effectively generate positive impact people planet.
